Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kazushi Sakuraba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Ley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Kazushi Sakuraba!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dan Ley!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Sam Margolis and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sakuraba throws out a loose jab but Ley uses good head movement to avoid it.
The fight stays on the outside here - Ley looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Sakuraba changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ley looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The referee asks Sakuraba politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Sakuraba prefers to stall for the moment though.
Ley really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sakuraba. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Sakuraba landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.

Sakuraba closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Ley did well to prevent Sakuraba getting side control.
Sakuraba has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Well, if Sakuraba is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Ley wants to sweep but Sakuraba has passed to side control!
Sakuraba content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Kazushi Sakuraba just wasn't active enough.
Sakuraba throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ley's waist but Ley gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sakuraba off to one side.
Sakuraba tries to clinch there but Ley circles away.
Ley keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Sakuraba tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ley sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Sakuraba somewhat.

It looks like Kazushi Sakuraba has been cut.
Sakuraba tries to stall but Ley uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Ley looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Sakuraba blocks an elbow strike from Ley.
Ley lands an elbow inside.
Ley comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Ley lands a damaging elbow.
Sakuraba is trying to drag Ley to the mat but Ley just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Sakuraba is looking to break free of the clinch but Ley has double underhooks.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Ley lands an elbow that stopped Sakuraba in his tracks for a moment.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ley lands an elbow inside that Sakuraba shrugs off.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ley fails with an attempt to clinch.
Ley wants to clinch up but Sakuraba keeps it at a distance.
Sakuraba tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ley swivels and escapes.

Sakuraba shoots in looking for a takedown but Ley manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sakuraba's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Sakuraba shoots for a double leg takedown but Ley sprawls well. He's pushed Sakuraba's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Sakuraba throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Ley prevents Sakuraba from breaking the clinch.

Ley is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Sakuraba is defending well for now.
Sakuraba is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Sakuraba could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Oh Sakuraba is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sakuraba jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Ley walks away with a smile on his face. Sakuraba gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Ley closes the distance and clinches.
Ley lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Sakuraba is pressed against the cage. Ley pushes back and unleashes a big elbow that really hurts Sakuraba! Two more big strikes from Ley and Sakuraba crumples to the mat and taps out furiously due to the strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Dan Ley!
