Maia's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, techno viking. Alexander Gustavsson will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gustavsson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Gustavsson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Maia shoots in looking for a takedown but Gustavsson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Maia's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Gustavsson throws a right and a left that Maia avoids nicely.
Maia shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Gustavsson as he jumps to the side.

Gustavsson pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Gustavsson misses with a few strikes there.
Gustavsson takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Gustavsson cracks Maia with a good jab.

It looks like Dominickoy Maia has been cut.
Gustavsson lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Gustavsson misses with a hook. Maia ducked under it nicely.
Gustavsson takes a swing at Maia's ribcage but misses.
Gustavsson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Maia slips a jab and a cross from Gustavsson.

Maia fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Gustavsson to the ground. Maia is now in Gustavsson's guard.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Maia seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Gustavsson is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
