Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Mendosa throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Strife gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Mendosa tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Strife smiles and moves away.

Strife darts in and clinches Mendosa up against the cage.

With the fighters up against the cage, Strife throws an elbow but misses.

Strife creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Strife gets underhooks to prevent Mendosa's takedown attempt.

Mendosa is working for takedown but Strife is calmly controlling the position for now.
Cid Strife has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paulo Mendosa.

Strife is pressed up against the cage. Mendosa has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Strife down to the mat. Strife avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
