Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Clark!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, George Lentz!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Cecil Peabody and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Clark misses.
Clark displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lentz.
Clark closes the distance and clinches up with Lentz, looking for a takedown. Clark pushes Lentz against the cage but Lentz circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Lentz throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Lentz throws a body punch but Clark moves out of range.
Clark misses with a two punch combination.
Clark stuffs the takedown.
Lentz misses with a takedown attempt - Clark sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Clark feints and as Lentz raises his hands in defense, Clark changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Lentz gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Lentz blocks a head kick by Clark.
Nice takedown defense from Clark. No joy for Lentz on that attempt.
Clark rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lentz moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Clark fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A head kick from Clark lands but Lentz takes it in his stride.
Lentz cracks Clark with a good jab.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Clark throws a front kick that sends Lentz stumbling back into the cage.
Lentz throws a left and a right that both miss
and Clark counters with a nice uppercut.

Clark looks to score with a jab to the body but Lentz is just out of range.

John Clark seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Clark throws a one two combo.
Clark looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lentz is fending him off so far but Clark persists. Nope, Lentz circles away and we're back to standing.

Clark is breathing heavily.
Clark wants to stand and escape but instead Lentz has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Clark might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Lentz's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Lentz tries to free his leg and advance position but Clark is retaining full guard.
Lentz is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Clark throws a right and a left that Lentz avoids nicely.

Lentz shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Clark's guard.

Clark manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Lentz misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Clark blocks a head kick by Lentz.
Clark throws a right hand that Lentz ducks under and follows up with a left that Lentz also avoids with ease.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Horrible takedown by Lentz or perhaps it was just good defense by Clark which made him look bad.

Clark slips a jab and a cross from Lentz.
Lentz has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Clark finds it's way round the side to connect with Lentz's head.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Lentz throws a nice looking combination but Clark bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Clark fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Lentz sprawls well initially but Clark persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Clark is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Lentz doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Clark.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Clark is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Clark is looking to stall here but Lentz recovers full guard.

Lentz trying to keep a closed guard but Clark is proving a slippery customer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Clark is looking to advance position but Lentz has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Clark is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Lentz tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Lentz wants to control the pace but Clark is squirming around nicely.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Lentz controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Clark tries to kick Lentz off but Lentz keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Clark throws a combination. Lentz tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

John Clark is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
