Mike Monton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Monton shoots in and drives through. Jones sprawls well.
Monton swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Monton tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jones paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Horrible takedown by Monton or perhaps it was just good defense by Jones which made him look bad.

Jon Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Monton.
Monton walks into a stiff left hand from Jones.

Monton throws a right and a left that Jones avoids nicely.

Jones's jab looks to have found its range, popping Monton under the eye.

Jones is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Monton like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Monton from another fist facial!
