Pichurin tries to control Ellis's body but Ellis pushes him off. Pichurin squirms to his side and now Ellis has his back!
Ellis has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Pichurin covering up well and avoiding damage.

Pichurin is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Ellis looking to break Pichurin's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Pichurin remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Ellis will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Ellis has the hooks in. Pichurin is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Pichurin defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Ellis's arms.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pichurin turns into Ellis and is now in his guard.
