PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Reva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Timur Batrudinov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reva comes to the cage accompanied by Ain't No Grave. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Timur Batrudinov!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Ivan Kurochkin and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Batrudinov fails with a takedown attempt.

Reva changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Batrudinov looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Batrudinov tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Reva wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Reva tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Reva has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Reva swings around for an armbar but Batrudinov sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Reva's guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Reva is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Batrudinov pulls his head out easily.

Batrudinov can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Reva is looking to escape.

Batrudinov looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
