Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rock Solid!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Boogie Woogie!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Wagner Zegers and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick lands from Woogie.
Woogie uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Solid has time to react.
Solid with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Woogie to score with a decent uppercut.
Solid blocks the body kick.
Woogie wants to clinch up but Solid keeps it at a distance.
Solid circles away from the clinch attempt.
Woogie lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Boogie Woogie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Solid shoots in but no luck this time.
Woogie lands a head kick!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Woogie clobbers Solid with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Solid shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Woogie throws the kick towards the body but Solid avoids it.
Solid is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Woogie lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Solid shoots in for a takedown but Woogie shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Solid takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Boogie Woogie is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Woogie.
A decent looking cross lands there for Woogie.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Woogie changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Solid is breathing heavily.
Woogie paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Woogie feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Solid sprawling to the canvas! Solid rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Woogie finish him?!
Solid is rocked!
Solid is holding his hands too far apart here. Woogie throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Solid is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Boogie Woogie!
