Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Akira Konda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hyashi Yedo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hyashi Yedo is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hyashi Yedo!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yukihiro Shimada and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Konda wants to clinch.
A swing and a miss from Konda.
Konda loads up on a big right hand but Yedo slips the punch.
Konda misses with a takedown attempt
and Yedo counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Konda's guard now.
Yedo postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Yedo has gone for a leg lock! Konda slips out almost immediately though and dives into Yedo's guard.

Konda got a little sloppy there for a moment and Yedo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Konda has managed to get both his arms back between Yedo's legs - danger averted.
Yedo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Konda doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Konda manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Konda wants to lay and pray for a moment but Yedo keeps working.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Yedo is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Konda off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.
