Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tony Kidd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jin Shiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Kidd might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Blowin Swishers. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shigeki Sano and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kidd throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Shiro tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Kidd is in Shiro's guard.
Kidd stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Shiro tries for a takedown but Kidd circles away easily
and Kidd counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Kidd.
Kidd drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kidd jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Kidd is looking to stand up but Shiro won't let him.
Kidd gets to his feet - Shiro follows without any prompting.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Shiro tries to sprawl but Kidd drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Shiro shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Shiro was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Kidd tries to roll over but Shiro keeps him under control.
Shiro wants to work for an arm triangle but Kidd is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Kidd kicks Shiro off and gets to his feet.
Kidd tries to clinch up.
Shiro changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kidd tries to avoid it but Shiro manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kidd to the ground. Kidd escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kidd has hold of one of Shiro's legs. Shiro is fighting the takedown attempt but Kidd gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Shiro with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Kidd is desperately trying to improve his position but Shiro has a good base and remains in mount.

Poor strikes thrown by Shiro there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Kidd is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Shiro pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Kidd bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
