PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rico Blangko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cottontail Rabbit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rabbit has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! Rico Blangko has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rabbit swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Rabbit looks gassed!

Blangko changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rabbit looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Blangko decides to stand up, so the ref orders Rabbit to his feet.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Rabbit has eaten all the pies!
Blangko scores with a head kick.

Blangko closes the distance and clinches.

Blangko jumps into guard, dragging Rabbit to the mat.
Blangko seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Blangko has his feet on Rabbit's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Blangko throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Rabbit was covering up waiting for the punch and Blangko finishes the takedown easily into guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Blangko is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Blangko stands and throws Rabbit's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Blangko has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Rabbit!
Rabbit really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Blangko. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Blangko lands with some strikes.
Blangko cracks Rabbit with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
