Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tobirama Katsushiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Masakazu Maeda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maeda has chosen Wandering Star as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yukihiro Shimada.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Katsushiro is trying to break free.

Maeda decides to pull guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Maeda seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Katsushiro would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Masakazu Maeda.

Katsushiro will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Maeda has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Katsushiro wants to get up but he can't break Maeda's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Maeda tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Maeda manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Katsushiro tries to hold on but Maeda pushes him away.

Katsushiro is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Maeda has taken his back.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
It looks like Maeda might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Maeda is working for a rear naked choke. Katsushiro is not defending it well and Maeda has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Katsushiro refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Katsushiro's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
