Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Barack Bush!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Troy Melton!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shigeki Fujiwara and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Melton connects with a single shot there.
Bush fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Melton manages to avoid it.
Melton scores with a body shot.

Melton tries to keep at a distance but Bush has taken the fight into the clinch.
Melton wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Bush.
Bush lands a shoulder strike.

Melton pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Melton takes a swing at Bush's ribcage but misses.
Melton swats away the attempt to clinch by Bush.
Bush tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Bush takes the fight into the clinch.
Bush makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Melton blocks a punch to the side of the head.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bush doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Bush prevents Melton from breaking the clinch.
Melton misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Bush keeps control of Melton as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Come on Bush - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Melton throws a head punch that misses.
Melton blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Melton is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Bush is keeping busy.
Bush has had enough of the clinch but Melton keeps him there for the moment.
Melton is trying to force a seperation but Bush has the dominant position.
Bush really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Bush drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Melton blocks a punch to the side of the head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bush lands with a right to the head.
Bush has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Melton avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Bush escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Melton lands a right hook to the body.
Bush wants to clinch up but Melton keeps it at a distance.
Melton fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Barack Bush seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bush fails with an attempt to clinch.
Melton keeps the fight on the outside.
Bush fails in his attempt to clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Bush rushes Melton and presses him up against the cage.
Melton misses with some punches.
Bush prevents Melton from breaking the clinch.

Bush decides to pull guard.
Melton wants to stand and escape but instead Bush has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Bush stands and steps away. Melton gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Bush wants to clinch.
Melton stuffs the takedown attempt from Bush. Bush gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Barack Bush. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bush tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Melton manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Bush shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Melton but Melton pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Bush tries to clinch but Melton is having none of it.
Melton lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Melton.
Melton lands a lovely overhand right.
Melton lands a glancing blow to the side of Bush's head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Melton keeps the fight on the outside.
Melton works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Bush shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Melton as he jumps to the side.

Bush instigates a clinch.
Bush lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Melton backwards.

Melton breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Bush tries to clinch but Melton moves out of range.
The fight stays on the outside here - Melton looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Bush fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Bush with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Melton to score with a decent uppercut.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Bush takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Melton cracks Bush with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Melton scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Good shot there by Melton.


Bush is rocked!
Bush tries to close the distance and clinch up but Melton swats him away and circles back towards the center.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Troy Melton dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Bush keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Barack Bush is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Bush shoots in looking for a takedown but Melton manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Bush's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Bush wants to clinch up but Melton keeps it at a distance.
Melton misses with a series of wild punches.
Bush is looking to clinch but Melton is avoiding it.
Bush tries to clinch but Melton moves out of range.
Melton throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Melton stalks Bush and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Bush's face. Bush staggers backwards, shaken.
Melton lands a really nice looking cross but Bush seems unphased.
Oh Bush is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Melton scores with a jab to the body.
Melton lunges at Bush with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Bush's hand.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bush moves in looking to clinch but Melton pushes him off.
Bush fails to land the takedown.
Today's fight clock is brought to you by... OOOH that's a huge shot by Melton! Bush is in big trouble here - the ref steps in to save him and this one is all over!
