The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Proaburt changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Le Grand tries to avoid it but Proaburt manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Le Grand to the ground. Le Grand escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Proaburt circles away from the clinch attempt.
Le Grand lands a high kick!
Le Grand lands a nice looking kick to the body. Proaburt takes a step back to recover.
Proaburt shoots in for a takedown but Le Grand shows good takedown defense.
Proaburt fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Fede Le Grand has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Robert Proaburt.
Le Grand connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Proaburt's hands.
Le Grand tries to clinch up but Proaburt circles away and keeps his distance.
Proaburt shoots in for a double leg but Le Grand sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Proaburt walks into a stiff left hand from Le Grand.
Le Grand clobbers Proaburt with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Proaburt drops his hands momentarily and Le Grand takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Fede Le Grand seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Proaburt takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Proaburt has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Le Grand finds it's way round the side to connect with Proaburt's head.
Le Grand tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Le Grand is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Proaburt shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Proaburt was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Le Grand tries to reverse the position but Proaburt maintains control.
