The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dickinson looks for a takedown but Zygan sprawls well.
Zygan displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Dickinson.
Dickinson shoots in but Zygan avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paul Dickinson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dickinson slaps away a takedown attempt from Zygan, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Zygan gets caught napping as Dickinson dives in and scores a takedown. Zygan manages to retain guard.
Dickinson passes Zygan's left leg - he's now in half guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Dickinson is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Zygan doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Dickinson.

Dickinson seems to be looking for submissions.

Zygan is defending against the submission attempts here by Dickinson.
Zygan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dickinson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
