Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Atkins and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Naza decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Naza connects with a nice short shot to Walter's temple.
Naza has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Walter is trying to get back to full guard.
Naza content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Naza is nestled in close to Walter, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Naza postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Walter in real trouble here! The ref calls for Walter to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!

During a confident post fight interview, Gio Naza thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
