Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Amadeus Astra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kalam Mekhar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Astra comes into the arena with Once in a Lifetime blaring out of the sound system. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Astra will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Astra throws a big shot that misses.
Mekhar throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Astra throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Mekhar is trying hard to land a takedown here. Astra sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Astra misses with a hook. Mekhar ducked under it nicely.

Mekhar fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Astra sprawls well initially but Mekhar persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Astra is looking to control Mekhar's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Astra avoid being mounted?
Astra is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Mekhar's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Mekhar's back!
Astra lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.
Mekhar covers up after that shot from Astra.
Astra is landing with strikes. Mekhar can't take much more of this.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Astra lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Mekhar.
Mekhar is trying to break free.

Mekhar is still in real trouble! Can Astra finish him?
Mekhar grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.
Astra is landing big shots and Mekhar is squirming looking to escape! He can't escape though and the ref jumps in to end the fight!
