Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Andrew Legus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Livingston Barclay!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Elvis Blanc and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Legus shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Barclay sprawls well. Barclay wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Legus gets slowly back to his feet.
Legus throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Legus fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Barclay avoids it really well and circles away.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Barclay enables Legus to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Barclay manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Legus trying to control the position from guard on top but Barclay is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Barclay is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Legus is aware though and is defending well.
Legus preventing the sweep.
Legus is looking to work some ground and pound but Barclay has wrist control.

Legus got a little sloppy there for a moment and Barclay has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Legus has managed to get both his arms back between Barclay's legs - danger averted.
Barclay is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Legus pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Barclay is keeping the position for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Barclay is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Legus defends well.
Legus trying to control but Barclay is working from the bottom.

Legus is stalling in the full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Andrew Legus.
Some bone on bone action there as Barclay checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Legus tries for a takedown but Barclay sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andrew Legus. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Barclay digs a good body shot into Legus's ribs.
Legus fails to land the takedown.
Legus doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Legus takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Barclay connects with a good right hand that stumbles Legus. Legus circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Andrew Legus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Legus tries to close the distance and clinch but Barclay swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Barclay misses with a two punch combination.
Legus fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Legus shoots in for a takedown but Barclay shows good takedown defense.
Legus shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Barclay as he avoids it easily.
Legus is breathing heavily.
Legus misses with a takedown attempt - Barclay sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Barclay lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Barclay lands a really nice looking cross but Legus seems unphased.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Barclay lands with an overhand left.
Barclay scores with a crisp jab that stopped Legus in his tracks.
Barclay lands with a nice body punch.
Legus walks into a stiff left hand from Barclay.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Legus.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Barclay thumps Legus with a low kick.
Barclay scores with a shot to the body.
Legus is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Barclay moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Livingston Barclay!
