PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brent Blackadder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marko Hansy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blackadder comes to the cage accompanied by Jester. Marko Hansy will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Marko Hansy!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Ackerman and Steven Brown.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hansy cracks Blackadder with a right hand to the side of the head.
Blackadder has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Hansy finds it's way round the side to connect with Blackadder's head.

Blackadder rushes Hansy and presses him up against the cage.

Blackadder breaks from the clinch.
Blackadder shoots in but no luck this time.
Hansy scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Blackadder fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hansy avoids it really well and circles away.
Blackadder tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Blackadder shoots in looking for a takedown but Hansy manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Blackadder's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brent Blackadder. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Blackadder changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hansy tries to avoid it but Blackadder manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hansy to the ground. Hansy escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Blackadder shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Blackadder looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hansy is fending him off so far but Blackadder persists. Nope, Hansy circles away and we're back to standing.
Blackadder looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Hansy displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Blackadder.
Blackadder is breathing heavily.
Blackadder with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Hansy to score with a decent uppercut.

Nice takedown defense from Hansy. No joy for Blackadder on that attempt.
Blackadder takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

It looks like Brent Blackadder has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Blackadder shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hansy sprawls well. Hansy wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Blackadder gets slowly back to his feet.
Hansy lands a jab-cross combination.
Hansy works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Hansy lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Marko Hansy is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Hansy tests Blackadder's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Blackadder ducks straight into an uppercut from Hansy and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Blackadder manages to regain guard straight away.

Blackadder is rocked!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Blackadder is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Hansy throws a big right hand that misses.
Hansy wants to control from the top but Blackadder keeps moving.
Hansy might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Blackadder kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Hansy is working Blackadder over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Hansy avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Blackadder is looking to sinch up a triangle. Hansy throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Blackadder's body to avoid the submission. Blackadder has instead reached around Hansy's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Blackadder arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
