The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boy has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Boy throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Rivera was covering up waiting for the punch and Boy finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Rivera is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Boy is aware though and is defending well.

Rivera escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Boy gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Rivera had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Boy defends it easily.

Boy got a little sloppy there for a moment and Rivera has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Boy has managed to get both his arms back between Rivera's legs - danger averted.
