Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Terry Eckel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benny Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Eckel gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Jones has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Eckel clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Eckel trying to control the action but Jones just sinks the hooks in.
Jones really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Eckel.

Jones is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Eckel is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Eckel covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.

You can see the frustration on Eckel's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Eckel rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Eckel is trying to stand up here but Jones is controlling him well.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Eckel throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jones's waist but Jones gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Eckel off to one side.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Jones blocks a head kick by Eckel.

Jones shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Eckel's guard.
Jones postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Jones connects with a couple of short punches.

Jones controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Jones must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Eckel wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Eckel drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jones manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Eckel manages to get himself to full guard.

Jones fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Eckel sprawls well initially but Jones persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Jones has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Eckel to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Jones is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Eckel pulls down on the head and he's put Jones to sleep! This one is all over!
