Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shawn Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mickey Rourke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Shawn Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mickey Rourke!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Igor Prikhodko and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson lands with a right hand.
Rourke fails with the takedown.
Jackson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rourke paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Rourke misses with a two punch combination.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Jackson, as that shot connected.
Rourke looks for a takedown but Jackson sprawls well.

Rourke drives through with a takedown into guard.
Rourke thows a big elbow that misses.
Rourke with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Rourke is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Rourke throws and elbow that misses. Jackson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Rourke's guard. Nice move by Jackson!

Rourke drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Jackson dives on top into guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Rourke walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Jackson checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Jackson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Rourke shoots in for a double leg but Jackson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Mickey Rourke showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Horrible takedown by Rourke or perhaps it was just good defense by Jackson which made him look bad.

Jackson lands with a kick to the temple. Rourke shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

and Jackson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

And that's the end of the fight!

I think Rourke has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
