The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Juranic lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Juranic could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Juranic shoots in but no luck this time.
Rich tries to close the distance and clinch but Juranic swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Rich drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Rich stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Juranic swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Juranic escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rich gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Rich postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Juranic is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Rich, into his guard.

Rich takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Rich feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
