The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brooks is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Double Rainbow has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Rainbow shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Brooks eats them both and turns towards Rainbow to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Brooks shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Rainbow napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Brooks tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
The referee asks Brooks politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Brooks prefers to stall for the moment though.
Rainbow is looking to regain half guard here but Brooks keeps moving and retains side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Brooks has hold of Rainbow's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Rainbow tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Brooks cranks the arm and Rainbow screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Rainbow, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
