Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Curved (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Richard Curved looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bobby Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Richard Curved!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Alec Ball and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice jab there from Curved.
Brown shoots in looking for a takedown but Curved manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Brown's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Curved avoids the head kick by Brown.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Brown.
Brown dodges the punch combination from Curved.
Curved moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Curved stuffs the takedown.

and Curved counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Richard Curved seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Curved swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Curved gets caught napping as Brown dives in and scores a takedown. Curved manages to retain guard.
Brown will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Brown is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Brown seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Brown passes Curved's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Brown thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Curved's head.

Curved pushes Brown off looking to stand but Brown dives back in and keeps control.

Brown wants to work for an arm triangle but Curved is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Brown seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Curved does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Curved pushes Brown off looking to stand but Brown dives back in and keeps control.
Brown is trying to control the action in half guard but Curved is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Brown stops Curved from getting back to his feet.

Brown is working for a kimura but Curved is defending it quite comfortably.

Brown with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Curved to score with a decent uppercut.
Brown displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Curved throws out the jab.
Brown misses with a takedown attempt - Curved sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Curved throws a series of punches but Brown avoids them all with ease.

and Brown counters with a head kick. That will keep Curved thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

and Brown holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Brown shoots for a double leg takedown but Curved sprawls well. He's pushed Brown's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Curved tries to close the distance and clinch up but Brown swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Curved will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Curved takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Brown takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Curved cracks Brown with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Curved defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Brown.
Brown changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Curved tries to avoid it but Brown manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Curved to the ground. Curved escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Curved's corner calls for a 1-2. Curved obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Curved lands a really nice looking cross but Brown seems unphased.
Brown takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Brown fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Curved.

Richard Curved showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Brown is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Curved is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Brown has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Curved wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Curved is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Brown advances nicely into full mount.

Brown takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Brown is working for a guillotine from mount but Curved frees his head quite easily.
The referee warns Curved that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Bobby Brown overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Curved really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brown. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Curved's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Brown wants to control the pace but Curved is squirming around nicely.
You get the feeling that Curved really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Brown won't let Curved get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Brown scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Brown postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Curved looks a forlorn figure.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Brown lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Brown wants to control the pace but Curved is squirming around nicely.
Curved is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
