Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nannie Doss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Santiago Martin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Nannie Doss has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nannie Doss!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Santiago Martin!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Jonathan Paton and Jorge Garcia.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martin throws a lazy uppercut
and Doss counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Martin tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Doss counters with a left and a right that stings Martin.
Martin misses with an attempted mid kick.

Martin drives through with a takedown into Doss's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Martin trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Doss will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Martin wanted to stand there but Doss had control of the position.

Martin stands and steps away. Doss gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Martin takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Martin closes the distance but Doss moves to the side
and Doss connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Doss is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Doss keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Doss uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Martin.
The fight stays on the outside here - Martin looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Doss throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Martin sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Doss stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Doss wants it to stay on the feet.
A chopping leg kick lands by Doss.

Doss takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Martin throws a sloppy head kick
and Doss counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Doss blocks a low kick nicely.
Doss throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Doss lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Martin has a takedown stuffed.
Nannie Doss has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Santiago Martin.
Doss scoring well with a low kick there.
Doss is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Martin shoots for a takedown but Doss saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Martin closes the distance and clinches up with Doss, looking for a takedown. Martin pushes Doss against the cage but Doss circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Martin shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Doss sprawls well. Doss wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Martin gets slowly back to his feet.

Doss misses with an uppercut.
Martin misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Martin avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Martin looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Doss is fending him off so far but Martin persists. Nope, Doss circles away and we're back to standing.
Doss tries to work over Martin's front leg with a kick but Martin checks it.
Doss moves out of range of the body kick.
No luck for Martin with that takedown attempt.
Martin dives in and grabs Doss's left leg, looking for a takedown. Doss pushes down on Martin's head and hops out.

Doss loads up on a big right hand but Martin slips the punch.
Doss lands a nice looking body shot.
Good shot there by Doss.
Doss throws a jab but it's blocked by Martin.
Martin misses with a low kick.
Martin shoots in for a takedown but Doss shows good takedown defense.
Martin thows a leg kick but Doss checks it
and Doss counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Doss throws a solid leg kick but Martin takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Doss.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Doss stuffs the takedown.
Martin shoots in for a takedown but Doss shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Martin tries to clinch up.

That was a close round but I would say that Nannie Doss will probably get the nod.

Martin displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Doss throws out the jab.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Martin is looking to clinch but Doss is avoiding it.

and Martin counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Martin is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Doss has managed to free his arm - good work.
Doss is not content to let Martin control the position.

Martin moves nicely into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Martin goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Doss has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Martin but great work by Doss.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Martin tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Doss in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
An elbow from Doss crashes against the mat.

Martin is trying to improve his position.
Martin is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Doss off and has taken his back!
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Martin goes for a risky armbar from back mount and it's not paid off. Doss escapes and is now in half guard on top.
Martin is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Doss's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Doss's back!

Martin is working for a rear naked choke. Doss is not defending it well and Martin has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Doss refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Doss's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
