Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kirk Vaux (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Cuirass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kirk Vaux!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marcus Cuirass!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Paul Aken and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vaux throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Vaux shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Vaux was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Vaux takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Vaux looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Cuirass wants to hold on but Vaux pushes him away.
Cuirass is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Vaux with the ground and pound from mount.
Vaux controlling the pace for now.
Cuirass is squirming around, avoiding Vaux's attempts to control the action.
Cuirass sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Cuirass wants to improve his position but Vaux is controlling well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cuirass is trying to stand.
Vaux is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Cuirass makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Cuirass.

Vaux stands up from Cuirass's guard - Vaux perhaps looking for a knockout.
Cuirass tries to close the distance and clinch but Vaux swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Vaux keeps the fight on the outside.
Cuirass moves in looking to clinch but Vaux pushes him off.
Cuirass misses with a low kick.
Vaux tries a head kick but it misses.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Vaux on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Marcus Cuirass is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Cuirass throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Cuirass fails in his attempt to clinch.
Vaux takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Vaux tries to keep at a distance but Cuirass has taken the fight into the clinch.
Cuirass wants to get back to striking at distance but Vaux won't allow it.
Cuirass throws a punch but it's blocked by Vaux.
Vaux stalling in the clinch.
Vaux keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Cuirass's efforts to push away.
Vaux stalling the fight.
Cuirass lands an uppercut.

Vaux's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Cuirass tries to clinch but Vaux moves away

and Vaux counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Vaux trying to mount his opponent but Cuirass defends it.

Cuirass looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Vaux is thwarting Cuirass's attempts to control the position.
Vaux moves nicely into side control.
Vaux is breathing heavily.
Cuirass is looking to reverse the position.
Cuirass is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Vaux asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Vaux decides to stand back up. Vaux steps back and let's Cuirass get back to his feet.
Cuirass tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Vaux manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Cuirass misses with a jab, cross combination.

Vaux scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Cuirass is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Vaux is tapping! Great win for Cuirass!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Marcus Cuirass!
