Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Manlio Marconi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mahhammmad Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Khan is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: in da club. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mahhammmad Khan!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Sam Margolis and James Ackerman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marconi with a jab.
Marconi finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Khan fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
A looping hook to the body misses from Marconi. Khan does a little dance to reset his feet.
Marconi falls off balance throwing a combination

and Khan counters with a nice double leg into side control. Marconi won't be happy with that.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Khan throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Marconi works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Marconi moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Marconi manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Khan manages to get himself to full guard.
Khan wants to stand up but Marconi is controlling him.

Marconi seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Khan pushes Marconi off looking to stand but Marconi dives back in and keeps control.

Khan is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Marconi looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Marconi moves into full mount! Khan won't be happy about that!
Khan is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Marconi wants to control the pace but Khan is squirming around nicely.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Khan can do anything to dispel that myth.

That was a close round but I would say that Manlio Marconi will probably get the nod.
