Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Noah King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). King comes to the cage accompanied by Killing in the name. Jason Johnson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Noah King!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jason Johnson!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson is looking to clinch.
Johnson throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Johnson looks to throw the jab but King is out of range.
Noah King seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
King wants to clinch but Johnson slips to the side

and Johnson counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Johnson.
Johnson using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Johnson has had enough of the clinch but King keeps him there for the moment.
King tries to pull guard but Johnson won't allow it.
King tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Noah King. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Johnson wants to stall.

King has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Johnson uses from the top position.
King is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

and Johnson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Johnson wants to control from the top but King keeps moving.
King controls Johnson momentarily but Johnson frees himself.
Johnson throws a big right hand that misses.

Johnson has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of King is proving hard to escape from.
Johnson thows a big elbow that misses.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Johnson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Johnson wants to clinch.
King misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Johnson moves into the clinch.
King wants a takedown.

King has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Johnson uses from the top position.

King working for a triangle but Johnson defends it easily.
King is breathing heavily.

King has his foot on Johnson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Johnson works his way back into a safe position though.

Johnson lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

King has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Johnson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Johnson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
King manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
King is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Johnson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Johnson's back!

King tries to get the hooks in deep but Johnson pushed the leg off.
The referee is taking a good look at Johnson as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from King!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
King wants to control but Johnson is keeping busy.

King looking to break Johnson's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Johnson remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise King will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Johnson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with King. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

King has Johnson flattened out and is raining down punches.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
