PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sim Heer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dilbert Chavez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chavez has chosen When Worlds Colide by Powerman 5000 as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Chavez checks a leg kick.
Heer connects with a good right hand that stumbles Chavez. Chavez circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Chavez misses with a hook. Heer ducked under it nicely.
Chavez takes a swing at Heer's ribcage but misses.
Chavez shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Heer as he avoids it easily.
Chavez throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Heer tried to score with a low kick but Chavez checks it.
Chavez fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

and Chavez counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Heer's guard now.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Heer avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Chavez changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Heer looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Chavez goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Heer rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Chavez's guard! Nice work there by Heer!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Sim Heer is winning the standup battle so far.
Heer throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Chavez takes a shot right to the bread basket.

and Chavez takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Heer lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Heer.

Chavez throws an elbow but Heer slips to the side and avoids it well.

Chavez wants to control for a moment but Heer uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.

I would just about give that final round to Dilbert Chavez.
I think Chavez has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
