Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jonny Craig (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Rabago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Craig comes into the arena with Heat Seeking Ghost of Sex blaring out of the sound system. Rabago has chosen Finch - What It Is To Burn as his entrance music. Jonny Craig has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rabago fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
The fight stays on the outside here - Craig looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Craig fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Rabago throws a right hand that Craig ducks under and follows up with a left that Craig also avoids with ease.

Rabago works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Rabago drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Craig dives on top into guard.

Rabago tries to bum rush Craig with a series of wild strikes but Craig uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Craig really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Rabago wants to clinch up but Craig keeps it at a distance.
Craig fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rabago avoids it really well and circles away.

Rabago flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Craig seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Rabago for as long as he can get away with.

Craig is standing up, even though he is in mount.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Rabago throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Craig.

and Craig counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Rabago!

Craig looks for a takedown but Rabago sprawls well.
Rabago cracks Craig with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Rabago throws a series of punches but Craig avoids them all with ease.
Ryan Rabago seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rabago fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Craig manages to avoid it.
Craig will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Rabago shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Rabago showed some decent athleticism there.
Craig moves into full guard.
Rabago trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Craig tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Craig stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Craig shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rabago sprawls well. Rabago wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Craig gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jonny Craig. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Rabago shoots in and bounces Craig off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Rabago is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Craig is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Craig has escaped and now he's on top!

Craig stands and steps away. Rabago gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Craig changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rabago tries to avoid it but Craig manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rabago to the ground. Rabago escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Craig tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rabago swivels and escapes.

It looks like Jonny Craig has been cut.

Rabago shoots in and gets a takedown into Craig's guard.

Rabago drops back, looking for a kneebar! Craig looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Craig looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Craig!
Craig has knee on belly and moves into mount.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rabago is looking to improve his position but Craig isn't that keen on the idea.

Ryan Rabago showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Jonny Craig's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Craig fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Craig misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Craig gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Craig shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Rabago as he jumps to the side.

Rabago throws a body punch but Craig moves out of range.

Rabago shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Craig's guard.

Rabago has gone for a leg lock! Craig slips out almost immediately though and dives into Rabago's guard.

Rabago throws his legs up looking for a submission but Craig uses it to pass to side control.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Rabago manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Rabago is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Craig gets back to full guard.

Rabago drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Craig manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Rabago has Craig in his guard.

Craig stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Rabago throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Craig counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Craig decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Rabago's guard.

Rabago looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Craig has picked Rabago up and slammed him! Rabago can't keep hold of the triangle and Craig manages to pass to side control!
Rabago tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Craig wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Craig decides to stand back up. Craig steps back and let's Rabago get back to his feet.

Craig shoots in but no luck this time.

and Craig decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Rabago's guard.
Rabago controls Craig momentarily but Craig frees himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
