Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Crisostomo Ibarra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pantero Athrox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Athrox shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ibarra as he avoids it easily.

Ibarra rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Athrox moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Athrox closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Ibarra did well to prevent Athrox getting side control.

Athrox has hold of Ibarra's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Ibarra tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Athrox cranks the arm and Ibarra screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Ibarra, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
