The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Monthan looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Garcia shoots and misses
and Monthan counters with a single leg into guard. Garcia didn't expect that.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Monthan wants to pass the guard but Garcia is keeping the position.
Monthan drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Garcia dives on top into guard.
