PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Brus Li (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sebastian Nygaard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Li comes to the cage accompanied by Led Zeppelin - Black Dog. Nygaard has chosen Drowning Pool - Bodies as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice straight punches there by Li. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Li.
Nygaard shoots in for a double leg but Li sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Nygaard closes the distance and clinches up with Li, looking for a takedown. Nygaard pushes Li against the cage but Li circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Nygaard is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Crunch! Li slams his shin into Nygaard's torso.
A looping hook to the body misses from Li. Nygaard does a little dance to reset his feet.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Li, right into the meat.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

No joy there for Li, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Nygaard throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Nygaard chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Li can pounce on him.
