The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dumpy misses with a body kick.

Dumpy looks to land a body kick but Vandelay moved away.
Dumpy throws the kick towards the body but Vandelay avoids it.
Dumpy tries to land a front kick but Vandelay steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Dumpy throws a sloppy head kick and Vandelay moves out of range easily.

Vandelay darts in and clinches Dumpy up against the ropes.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Vandelay won't allow Dumpy to get back to his feet.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Vandelay thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Dumpy escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Vandelay gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Vandelay is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Dumpy sees it coming and defends easily.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Vandelay working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Dumpy turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Vandelay off and cradles Dumpy's limp body as Vandelay celebrates with his corner.
