The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Erikson closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Baru quickly recovers to half guard.

Erikson has hold of Baru's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Baru manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Erikson has control of Baru's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Baru regains control of the situation pretty easily.

That's time! Baru's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Baru just misses with a punch to the body.
Erikson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Erikson shoots in looking for a takedown. Baru tries to sprawl out of it but Erikson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Baru manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
