The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Ren Mimura and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
D Stake thumps Sparks with a low kick.
D Stake scores with a body shot.
D Stake fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Sparks is out of range.
D Stake is looking to clinch.
D Stake cracks Sparks with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
D Stake tries to clinch there but Sparks circles away.
Sparks uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by D Stake.
Sparks closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. D Stake quickly recovers to half guard.

Sparks throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as D Stake works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
D Stake preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Sparks wants to control from the top but D Stake keeps moving.

Sparks postures up in D Stake's guard and throws a big left but D Stake blocks it.

D Stake knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sparks on the ground.

Sparks distracts D Stake with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Sparks postures up in D Stake's guard and throws a big left but D Stake blocks it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sparks arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! D Stake's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
