Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Laidback Luke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyler Carlington (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Laidback Luke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tyler Carlington!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Luke scores with a body shot.

Carlington closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Luke's guard.
Luke throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

Luke is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Luke manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Carlington manages to get himself to full guard.
Luke postures up.

Luke drops back looking for a leg! Carlington is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Carlington manages to kick Luke off! Luke jumps back into Carlington's guard.
Carlington controls Luke momentarily but Luke frees himself.

Luke decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Carlington, up you get!

That's one minute gone in the round.

Luke closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Carlington's guard.
Luke working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Luke gets to his feet - Carlington follows without any prompting.

Luke shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Luke scoring with strikes but Carlington is staying in there.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Carlington is trying to escape the mount.

Luke looking to secure an arm triangle but Carlington defends it well.

Luke scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Luke goes for an armbar but Carlington turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Carlington.
Luke manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Carlington manages to get himself to full guard.
Luke in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Luke distracts Carlington with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Carlington is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Luke is aware though and is defending well.
Luke slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Luke landing some decent shots from guard.
Luke controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Luke is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Luke stands up and waves to Carlington to follow him.

Luke fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Carlington to the ground. Luke is now in Carlington's guard.
Carlington has momentary wrist control but Luke slips an elbow through the middle.
Luke controls from within his opponent's guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Luke stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Luke closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Carlington quickly recovers to half guard.
Luke is nestled in close to Carlington, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Luke stands up from half guard.

Luke fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Carlington to the ground. Luke is now in Carlington's guard.
Luke lands a couple of elbows.
Luke chips away with some ground and pound.

Luke is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Luke controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Laidback Luke dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Carlington gets caught flat footed, as Luke shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Luke loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Carlington working a defensive guard here.
Luke is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Carlington is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Luke slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Carlington stopping the sweep attempt from Luke.
Luke trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Carlington is breathing heavily.

Luke has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Carlington can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Luke pulls Carlington in close to prevent any damage.
Carlington has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Luke is proving hard to escape from.
Luke manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Luke lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Luke controlling from the full mount.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Luke is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Carlington is forced to tap! Great finish!
