Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Maximus Merceli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Damented (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dave Damented looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Damented looks for a takedown but Merceli sprawls well.

and Damented counters with a left and a right that stings Merceli.
Merceli shoots for a double leg takedown but Damented sprawls well. He's pushed Merceli's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Merceli looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Damented is fending him off so far but Merceli persists. Nope, Damented circles away and we're back to standing.

Merceli is looking for a kimura but Damented is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Merceli to get the leverage.
Merceli is nestled in close to Damented, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Merceli fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Damented avoids it really well and circles away.
Merceli closes the distance and clinches up with Damented, looking for a takedown. Merceli pushes Damented against the cage but Damented circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
