Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vanderlei Silva!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and Chris Downing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva avoids a punch combination nicely.
Tidds rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Silva moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Silva slips a straight right by Tidds.
Tidds misses with a takedown attempt
enabling Silva to counter with a crisp jab.
Horrible takedown by Tidds or perhaps it was just good defense by Silva which made him look bad.
Silva uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Tidds.
Silva shoots in for a double leg but Tidds sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Tidds throws a right hand that Silva ducks under and follows up with a left that Silva also avoids with ease.
Tidds misses with a takedown attempt - Silva sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Leroy Tidds. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Tidds shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Silva but Silva pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Tidds is breathing heavily.
Silva looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Tidds is fending him off so far but Silva persists. Nope, Tidds circles away and we're back to standing.
Tidds shoots in but no luck this time.
Nice takedown defense from Silva. No joy for Tidds on that attempt.
Silva connects with a single shot there.
Tidds closes the distance and clinches up with Silva, looking for a takedown. Tidds pushes Silva against the cage but Silva circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Silva stuns Tidds with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Silva is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Tidds takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Silva tries to clinch but Tidds moves out of range.
Silva scores with a nice right hand.
Nice takedown defense from Tidds. No joy for Silva on that attempt.

Silva closes the distance and pushes Tidds back into the cage.
Silva lands a nice elbow.

Tidds is rocked!
Silva gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Oh Tidds is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Tidds prevents the takedown attempt.
Silva comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Silva lands a damaging elbow.
Silva is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Tidds gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Silva creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Tidds's defenses.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Silva breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Tidds shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Silva but Silva pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Tidds walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Tidds limp body while Silva jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Vanderlei Silva!
