The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shepherd fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Patterson avoids it really well and circles away.
Patterson misses with a body kick.
Patterson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Shepherd.
Shepherd swats away the attempt to clinch by Patterson.
Patterson doesn't manage to clinch there - Shepherd circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
