Franco comes to the cage accompanied by The Animals - House of the Rising Sun. Diego Franco could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Tommie Karlsson's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karlsson fails with a takedown attempt.
Franco fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Franco shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Karlsson's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Franco tries to free his leg and advance position but Karlsson is retaining full guard.

Karlsson has his foot on Franco's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Franco works his way back into a safe position though.

Karlsson is looking for a sweep. Franco is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Karlsson drops down looking for an ankle pick but Franco pulls his leg out and moves away.
Diego Franco has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tommie Karlsson.
Karlsson tries to clinch there but Franco circles away.
Franco throws a sloppy head kick and Karlsson moves out of range easily.
Franco shoots in for a double leg but Karlsson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Karlsson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Franco counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Karlsson!

Franco manages to capitalize on a mistake by Karlsson to take his back!
Karlsson is keeping busy.

Karlsson looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.

Karlsson has hold of Franco's leg, trying to break free but it's let Franco lock up a rear naked choke! This could be big trouble! Karlsson is turning an unusual color here… he's out! Franco throws him to one side and jumps onto the cage to celebrate with his fans.
