The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mutantes gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Mutantes takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Mutantes tries for a takedown but Emerson circles away easily
and Emerson counters with a series of strikes. Mutantes will be more careful next time no doubt.
Emerson lands a lovely overhand right.
Emerson misses with a jab, cross combination.
Mutantes dodges the punch combination from Emerson.
Emerson throws a right hand that Mutantes ducks under and follows up with a left that Mutantes also avoids with ease.
Emerson thuds his right hand into Mutantes's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Mutantes throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Emerson's waist but Emerson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mutantes off to one side.

Emerson stalks Mutantes and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Mutantes's face. Mutantes staggers backwards, shaken.

letting Emerson counter with a right hand.

Emerson lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Emerson circles away from the clinch attempt
and Emerson counters with a straight that turns Mutantes's legs to rubber! Emerson pushes forward with more strikes and Mutantes goes down, battered and bloody! That's a wrap folks!
