The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rua fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Rua misses with a straight right.
A solid leg kick lands there for Rua.

Rua has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Atreides clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Rua really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Atreides. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Rua looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Atreides is fending him off so far but Rua persists. Nope, Atreides circles away and we're back to standing.
Rua fails in his attempt to clinch.

Rua darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Rua is looking to advance position but Atreides won't allow it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Oh but Atreides is tightening it up a little... Rua has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Rua reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Rua taps out! nice BJJ there by Atreides!
