Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mega Fredriksson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Muskeli Mies (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fredriksson kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is DMX - Megatron Gon' Give It To Ya. Mies is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by The way of the fist. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fredriksson misses with a hook. Mies ducked under it nicely.
Fredriksson walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Fredriksson misses with a straight right.

A looping hook to the body misses from Mies. Fredriksson does a little dance to reset his feet.
Mies lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

It looks like Mega Fredriksson has been cut.
Mies's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Fredriksson connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Mies scrambles back to his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Fredriksson forces Mies back against the cage and clinches.
Fredriksson gets through Mies's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Fredriksson throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Fredriksson throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Miess head.

Fredriksson tries to work over Mies's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Fredriksson manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Fredriksson tightens his grip and picks Mies up, before dumping him to the ground. Mies manages to land in guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Fredriksson trying to control the position from guard on top but Mies is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Fredriksson won't allow Mies to get back to his feet.

Fredriksson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Fredriksson is looking for a kimura but Mies is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Fredriksson to get the leverage.

Fredriksson wants to take a breather but Mies is having none of it.
Fredriksson is really struggling to control Mies but he's trying to hold on to the position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Fredriksson is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Mies defends it well.
Mies is looking to escape.
Fredriksson thows a huge punch but Mies dodges it nicely.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fredriksson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Fredriksson passes to side control.
Mies is pushing Fredriksson's head away, looking to escape. Fredriksson manages to hold on to the position though.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Fredriksson lands an elbow.

Mies is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Fredriksson has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Fredriksson throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Fredriksson scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Mies is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Fredriksson can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
