Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lyoto Machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Umberto Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Machida comes to the cage accompanied by Rev Theory - Hell Yeah . These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Nice takedown defense from Stone. No joy for Machida on that attempt.
Stone shoots in for a takedown but Machida shows good takedown defense.
Umberto Stone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Machida lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Stone circles away quickly and effectively.
Machida misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Stone takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Stone shoots in and drives through. Machida sprawls well.
Machida keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Lyoto Machida has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Umberto Stone.
Stone looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Stone shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Machida as he avoids it easily.
Stone slaps away a takedown attempt from Machida, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Stone feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Machida is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Stone is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Stone trying to control the position from guard on top but Machida is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Stone content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Machida has locked up a guillotine! Machida's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Stone is holding on here and Machida must be using up a lot of energy. Stone has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Machida gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
