Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cassius Slay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gichin Funakoshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Slay comes to the cage accompanied by Wu-Tang Clan - Triumph. Funakoshi has chosen Martial Art Drum Beat as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Cassius Slay has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gichin Funakoshi!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Dillan Fox and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Funakoshi tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Slay paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Slay drops his hands momentarily and Funakoshi takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Funakoshi looks to land a combination but Slay avoids it well.

Gichin Funakoshi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

That was a close round but Cassius Slay did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it.
