Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Diego Sanavio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodney Ang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ang has chosen Long Way To The Top as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, William Peck and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ang takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Ang misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Sanavio.
Ang needs to keep his hands up - Sanavio had a free shot at his head there.
A big right from Ang misses.
Sanavio takes a swing at Ang's ribcage but misses.
Sanavio just misses with a punch to the body.
Sanavio works Ang's body with a nice hook.
Sanavio throws a chopping leg kick but Ang manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Ang jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

Ang moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Sanavio stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ang swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Sanavio wants to pass the guard but Ang is keeping the position.

Sanavio has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Sanavio is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Ang can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sanavio with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Ang to score with a decent uppercut.

Good leg kick by Sanavio there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

letting Ang counter with a right hand.
Sanavio just misses with a punch to the body.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sanavio shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ang pinned against the cage. Ang gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Diego Sanavio. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nice takedown defense from Ang. No joy for Sanavio on that attempt.

That was a close round but Diego Sanavio did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it.

That's time! Sanavio's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
BOOM! Ang lands a beautiful left hook that drops Sanavio. Sanavio tries to recover but Ang is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Sanavio lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
