Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jacko Anselmo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kazushi Sakuraba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anselmo's entrance music is Amon Amarth-DEATH IN FIRE. A fine choice. Jacko Anselmo is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Anselmo scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Anselmo has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Sakuraba works to full guard.

Anselmo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sakuraba has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Anselmo has managed to get both his arms back between Sakuraba's legs - danger averted.

Sakuraba is trying to control the position but Anselmo postures up.
Anselmo has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sakuraba bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Anselmo's guard.
Sakuraba won't allow Anselmo to get back to his feet.
Sakuraba sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Anselmo's guard.
Sakuraba passes to side control.

Sakuraba is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Anselmo has escaped the position, nice work there.

Sakuraba thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Sakuraba tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Sakuraba has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Anselmo is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Sakuraba is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Sakuraba is working to tighten is grip on Anselmo's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Anselmo has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Sakuraba is really squeezing tight and eventually Anselmo passes out! Sakuraba breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
