The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Semenko moves out of range of the leg kick from Viittala.
Semenko throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Viittala swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Semenko is looking to chop away at Viittala's legs.
Viittala throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

and Viittala counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Semenko throws a jab but it's blocked by Viittala.

Viittala bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Semenko's head backwards.
Viittala slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Viittala fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Semenko is out of range.

Semenko moves into the clinch.

Viittala digs a right hand underneath Semenko's ribcage. Semenko let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Viittala feints and then cracks Semenko's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Semenko down.

Viittala moves out of range of the body kick from Semenko.
A head kick from Viittala lands but Semenko takes it in his stride.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Semenko walks into a left hand.
Semenko tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Viittala is able to avoid easily.
Semenko tries a low kick but Viittala avoids it.
Semenko takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Viittala throws a head kick but Semenko moves out of range.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

and Viittala counters with a low kick, right behind Semenko 's knee.
Viittala tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Semenko throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Viittala paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Dave Semenko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Semenko stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Semenko throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Viittala on the side of the head.
Semenko misses with a low kick.
Semenko is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Viittala throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Semenko is rocked!

Look low, kick high! Viittala uses the oldest trick in the book to send Semenko tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Viittala is absolutely delighted - when Semenko wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
